Penrith is a suburb in New South Wales, Australia, located west of Sydney. It is located in Greater Western Sydney, 50 kilometres (31Â mi) west of the Sydney central matter district on the banks of the Nepean River, on the outskirts of the Cumberland Plain. Its height above sea level is 25 metres (82Â ft).
Penrith is the administrative centre of the local government area of the City of Penrith. It is then acknowledged upon the register of the Geographical Names Board of New South Wales as one of lonesome four cities within the Greater Sydney metropolitan area.
